Theralion used to have a very distinct, flambouyant-sounding voice.

Unfortunately, they recently changed it to something more "normal" -- it's still a good voice, just... not as great. Or humorous. Or unique.

The twilight fiends involved in this achievement are small, have low HP (77K in 10 man and 117K in 25 man), move very quickly, and don't aggro when attacked. You need to get hit by Dazzling Destruction or Deep Breath (The spells cast during the phase transitions) in order to enter the phase they're located in.

Having ranged DPS go into the twilight realm to kill them is preferable, as melee will have trouble chasing them around with all of Unstable Twilight orbs floating around, and you need to kill them as quickly as possible before the increasing damage from the twilight realm becomes lethal. There also seems to be only one fiend present for each phase transition, meaning you'll need to enter the twilight realm six times to get enough for the achievement.

This is untrue.

They spawn at intervals of roughly 10-15 seconds.

This achievement is semi RNG, depending on how many people you send into the twilight realm.
It is possible to get all six in about a minute in the realm. The fiend spawn in random locations... and run what seems to be 25-30 yards before despawning. The trick is to spot them asap, slow them, then kill them. Problem being the random locations. They can spawn anywhere. etc, center of the room, near either of the bosses starting points. The room is 180y x 60y. In theory for 10 man, if you have 3 people stationed in the center line longways, preferably ranged slowers on the top stairs & a good rogue/dk stationed in the center, 1 center and 2 on the top of the steps spaming the macro

/tar twilight fiend

you shouldn't have a problem meeting the criteria in 2 Dazziling destruction phases.
Some reason, people get insta jibbed in the DEEP BREATH, might be a timing thing of running in and out quickly, needs more testing.

You will accumulate 12 stacks by the time 3 fiends spawn. Cloak, bubble, non specific despell ablities are your best friend in increasing your kill counter. Also, avoid the "real" realm AoE abilites from the boss at all costs. 10+% per stack shadow damage + unavoidable AoE + Boss abilites + %^&*ing orbs = oh @#$%.

In short, As long as you have enough people covering most of the ground, killing 6 fiends shouldn't be a problem.

Since my recent endevour's tearing heroic Valiona and Theralion a new rectal cavity, if you were to go normal mode and slap a sub rogue in the twilight zone with the macro bound to his shadowstep this could very easily be done, without sacrificing a handful of raid members for the achieve.

Sub rogues can survive a longer time then "debatably" all classes/specs in the twilight realm, which is the key to most heroic kills. Normal mode is the same except now, you're just %^&*ing around for the achievement without a half dozen adds pounding you/your raid with shadow bolts. Beat on the boss if recoup falls when your killing fiends, feint on CD, cloak at 15-20 stacks. (SORRY ASSASSINATION/COMBAT ROGUES FOR SACRIFICING YOUR RESPECTIVE OFFSPECS, then again not alot of people care about the hardon I have for combat pvp :[ )

We did this acheivement tonight.

The fiends colour blends in with the twilight, but our hunter found that by using the pre-mentioned target macro with an added line to send her pet to attack the target really helped.

Hunter pets are immune to the orbs in twilight, but much, much easier to see than the fiends, so when the pet runs off you can instantly locate the area the fiend is in.

Heya. Did it tonight, I entered alone on first Dazzling Destruction as BM hunter with spirit beast, used the /tar twilight fiend macro, sent pet on them asap and slow/nuke/killed them. I used my spirit beast healing on me once, went out after killing 4 of them, then re-entered with Deterrence on by standing in flame breath and killed last 2. On the last kill one fiend Evaded for some reason, so I had to target another one and kill.
Easy achievement.

Since it is easier to find groups now that we can do these cross realm. Here is a quick down and dirty strategy of how to do it now (Dragon Soul gear or greater). This was completed on 10 Man.

2 Tanks, 2 Healers, 6 dps (our comp for the whole run). We decided to use 2 Mages and 1 Warlock to go down during the first Dazzling Destruction (At this stage any ranged combo will do, or 2 ranged and a DK for grip) . We were able to stay down long enough to kill all 6 without leaving the twilight realm.

For positioning (in the twilight realm) we had 1 ranged on Theralion's stairs, 1 on Valiona's stairs and the 3rd in the center of the room. Multiple adds did evade bug which caused us to get up to 35+ stacks, which can still kill you without your own survival cool downs. If you have the issue with adds bugging maybe split it up into two twilight phases instead of one to ensure no deaths.

NOTES;
It is much easier but don't push too far since you can still die.
We had to stop all DPS prior to the first destruction because the boss(es) were already at 40%
Watch out for Deep Breathe while in the twilight realm.
Use achievement tracker to keep track of fiend's that died (some people do forget this)
Have twilight realm DPS use the macro "/tar twilight fiend" it helps a lot.

I soloed this as a Blood death knight in dps gear. Just get hit by Dazzling Destruction and create a /tar twilight fiend macro. Death Grip them to you and kill, repeat six times and the achievement is yours.

death gripping makes them glitch out and they seem to despawn or go avoidance at will, the trick i found is to get hit with the destruction and run up to and death strike 3 of them before going back, u have to go to them u cant make them coem to you, not sure if you need to 1hko them before they stop running around for credit but thats what i did with death strikes (they got like 75k hp)

Soloed with a BM hunter. The biggest tip i can give is make sure you have nameplates turned on and it will make it a lot easier to find the fiends.

When I tried this solo on my BM hunter I only got credit for killing 4 twilight fiends, perhaps my pet killed the other 2 without me actually damaging them myself so I didn't get credit? Beware of this if you are soloing it. Other than that should be an easy solo. I went back and got the achievement on my Guardian Druid.

Found this pretty hard to solo as an ilvl 540 rogue. First off, your best self-healing (Leeching poison) depends on hitting stuff, and 10-man Valiona just doesn't last all that long. Thing is, there's that small matter of Blackout hitting for 58800. Valiona casts it twice before Theralion casts his first Dazzling destruction.

I auto-attacked Valiona until Dazzling Destruction, which kept me mostly at full health save for the Blackouts. I skipped the first one with Cloak of Shadows and soaked the second one with Feint and Smoke Bomb (not sure Smoke Bomb actually helps). Then the hardest part is actually surviving the hunt for the Twilight fiends because the dragons keep hitting you, but you can't really heal yourself too much (by hitting the $%^& out of Theralion) otherwise they kinda drop dead.

I spammed this macro and hoped for the best :

/cleartarget
/tar Twilight fiend
/stopmacro ,
/startattack
/cast Shuriken toss

Having your current target show up on your minimap is really damn useful too so you can spot the little asshats quickly and get closer.

I died right as I killed the last fiend, still got the achievement as I had killed the dragons before - they count separately.

Edit : Forgot to mention : specced into Burst of Speed, because it's more suited than Shadowstep to your rogue running around randomly flailing his arms and throwing shuriken around while being chased by two huge dragons

Solo'd today as iLvl 566 Frost Mage.

Make sure you spec into Cold Snap.

Blazing Speed helps for moving around the room during twilight phase, but it's not required.

During Phase 1 have your water elemental attack Valiona (right dragon) once to gain aggro, then stop attacking while you run around avoiding damage. Put your elemental on one side of the room while you run around the other side to avoid Valiona's breath attack.
Ice Block the first Blackout as soon as it's cast on you and Cold Snap immediately afterwards. Ice Block again for the second blackout.

Waiting until the second blackout is cast to use Cold Snap will cause blackout to detonate on you! Use Cold Snap before the second blackout is cast!

Re-summon water elemental as necessary when it dies and have it attack once to gain aggro, and go back into passive.

Get hit by Dazzling Destruction to send you into the Twilight Realm and begin spamming the below macro. Once six fiends are dead, kill the boss. If you've cleared the boss fight before you should get the achievement as soon as the sixth fiend dies.
Track the achievement to make sure you get credit for six.

Fiends spawn every 10-20 seconds, be on the constant lookout for them.

just survive long enough and theralion should cast dazzling eventually which will phase you into the twilight realm to get your tasty achieve. took a couple of tries for me since blackout is really quite sore.

I just "almost" did this on my warr..
Tried first in fury but died, forgot to be in deff stance though :/

Then tried in tank gear/specc/stance.. just kept on healing myself with cd:s and absorbing dmg..
I THOUGHT i had killed 6 of them fiends so i klicked portal and nuked down bosses..

Then i tracked achive and noticed it said 5/6 :)

You will go low on hp untill the phase to kill fiends but once in there its cake..
Did it on my first try even in tank gear... 550ish ilvl not sure lol :P

Just solo'd this a BM Hunter ilvl574 (85.8k health) 10man normal
Here's a few tips I hope others may find useful.

Used Arcturis as tank with Claw disabled so not to cause a lot of damage to Valiona
If you don't have Arcturis any Spirit Beast should be fine as long as you spec them into Tenacity and disable the basic attack. Tenacity will also mean less use of Mend Pet

Spec:

Glyphs may change in WoD but at the time of this post I was using Animal Bond, Deterrence and Liberation

Potions: Master Healing Potion

For the Twilight Fiends I used the Macro :

/cleartarget
/tar Twilight fiend
/stopmacro ,
/startattack
/cast Arcane Shot

Other useful Macros I used were:
Spirit Mend Macro: (will cast on you)
/cast Spirit Mend; Spirit Mend

Misdirect to your Pet :
/cast misdirection; misdirection; misdirection

I'd advise to Hotkey the above macro's for ease of use and also make sure to hotkey Disengage and Exhilaration
Be sure to make full use of Disengage for some heals by utilising Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimaera / Liberation
as you run around Valiona in the first phase

The one thing you DO NOT want is to dps Valiona or Theralion until you have killed the six fiends.
Valiona or Theralion (shared health) are easily killed with current gear so just allow your pet to do the dps and maintain aggro while you run around. Just use pet attack and Misdirect to keep the aggro on your pet.

Disable your pet basic attack.
Set your pet on passive and send him to attack Valiona, you then run around Valiona until the second Blackout. After the second Blackout, heal up with what is available to you as Theralion will cast Dazzling Destruction very soon. You need to stand in the cast point on the floor in order for it to send you into the Twilight Realm so keep any eye out for the pool. As you stand in the pool, place you pet on follow. In the realm, heal up with what is available and put you pet on passive, misdirect to him and send him to attack Theralion. No dps from you. Your task is run around, spam the macro and make use of any heals. When you have the six just nuke Theralion, job done. If you previously killed Valiona and Theralion, you'll get the ach as soon as the sixth fiend is killed.

I can't confirm this but for the two Blackouts, I made sure to be as close as possible to my pet, hoping for shared damage.

Blackout damage can vary from 52k to 54k or above so you need a bit of luck when that is cast
Heals also vary and again you need a bit of luck.

It took me 3 attempts. I hope this helps anyone to complete it first attempt.

soloable as an 550ish Hunter (BM), no need for tank pet, mandatory; in addition to is VERY helpful. Bring atleast one Heal Potion and/or Healthstone.

You will need a Macro to target the Twilight Fiend in the Twilight Realm:

/tar Twilight fiend
/cast Arcane Shot

will do nicely and should also oneshot the Twilight Fiend.

1. Put your Pet on passive and order it to stay in the middle of the Room.
2. Misdirect Valiona towards your Pet
* Theralion will take off an start shooting Twilight Blast at you. Sidestepping these is a must and also quite easy. Twilight Blast hits around 1,200, so it wont kill you, but will delay your healing.
3. Valiona will cast Blackout on you, nothing you can do about it. After Blackout expires, she will cast Devouring Flames at your current location, so be ready and Disengage behind her. Use your healing Item now!
4. You will repeat Step 3. Disengage as much as possibly for the Heal, but have it off CD for the second Devouring Flames.
5. Theralion will now cast Dazzling Destruction, which is a big purple circle anywhere in the room. Be sure to stand in it. Have your Pet on follow now.
6. Once in the Twilight Realm, order your Pet to stand in the middle of the Room again and start spamming your Macro.
7. You will get the Achievement immediately, now go kill the Dragon for some precious Loot ;)

BM Hunters if you're having problems after reading the strats, this will help.

1) Turn OFF auto Spirit Mend. This is what's making you explode. Your pet tries to heal you during blackout and you go POP.

2) Have your pet tank Valiona where she starts, up on the steps. You need to stay back by Theralion's steps so Valiona's breath can't hit you because if you're up on the steps with your pet, your Disengage will not jump you far enough--the breath will hit you.

3) DETTERENCE is what keeps you alive after the second Blackout.

The first blackout, pop it with 3 seconds before Blackout pops so you have about 35% health left, then use a Master Healing Potion. After the breath, run up to your pet and manual Spirit Mend (so your pet doesn't pull the dragon away from the steps), then Disengage yourself back towards Theralion's steps. Use Disengage to heal yourself. Spirit Bond will take care of the rest. Do this again, minus the Master Healing Potion for the second Blackout.

4) Your pet needs to follow you into the Twilight Realm or you will not get credit for killing the Twilight Fiends. So after the second blackout, set your pet to follow and go stand in the purple swirling that'll take you to the Twilght Realm.

5) Track Double Dragon so you can watch how many counts you have. Once you get six, nuke the dragon in the realm.

- Talent: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimaera
- Talent: Spirit Bond
- Glyph: Animal Bond
- Glyph: Liberation

I didn't have Deterrence but it would've helped greatly. I was 550.

Idiots guide for Double Dragon in 6.0 (Healing Class Edition)

1. Agro Valiona (but don't burn her down)
2. She casts Blackout twice. Soak it up and top up your health.
3. Theralion will then cast Dazzling Destruction.
4. Stand in the shadow-pool caused by Dazzling Destruction. This will take you into the shadow realm.
5. Target Twilight Fiends as they appear and kill them. You need 6 for the achievement.
6. The achievement should pop when you kill the sixth Twilight Fiend if you have downed the boss on a previous run.

As an L100 this was super easy. One note: You can wait inside until you get all 6 kills. Don't leave after 3.

I highly recommend using a macro to target the fiends. They are very hard to see and move quickly otherwise. Very easy to do on heroic as a ilvl 658 Ret Pally just have to avoid engulfing flames and it will require minimal healing.

I've tried this achievement and failed at 110. Because the bosses died.

I hit Valiona once, with an auto shot then turned off attacking. Going into the twilight realm, I started shooting the ads and noticed the boss health declining, even though I was single targeting.

After checking the Combat Log, it turns out the Icon of Rot trinket from NH was damaging the bosses with Carrion Swarm. Turns out the trinkets works like Thorns and not how it is meant to. Beware of trinkets, killing the bosses

I just got this achieve (last one for Glory of the Cataclysm Raider AND the Drake of the East Wind!) using my lvl 120 Balance Druid after failing on 2 other characters. I managed to aggro Valiona with Soothe and she did not take any damage whatsoever until I was finished getting my 6 Fiends then I attacked her for the kill. Oh, it seems I am not smart enough to make a working macro so I used the Tab button to help target the Fiends and then used a simple Moonfire to blast each one. I think there is a counter on the right side that shows how many you have killed, as it hit 6 and then I shifted into Twilight after that. I could be wrong on that part. I killed one more Fiend just to be sure my count was high enough though.

120 assassination rogue. I made a macro that just has this in it:

/target Twilight Fiend
/cast Poisoned Knife

After initiating the encounter (by literally just standing under Valiona), I waited until Dazzling destruction so that I could get sent into the twilight nightmare. Once there I ran around clicking this button. Each time I killed a twilight fiend I hit F1 so that I would target myself, and wouldn't auto target the boss (which happened on my 120 fire mage). I kept running around and clicking until I got 6 (and I checked the achievements tracker to make sure I had it). Then just DPS the boss down and you got the achievement!

I had absolutely abysmal luck finding these little fiends on my Paladin. Took me almost ten minutes to kill five of them -- not because I was missing them, but because I simply could not find them. Accidentally killed the boss one fiend short.

I tried again on my level 60 Hunter and the fiends seemed to spawn super fast. They were everywhere! Killed all 6 using tab-target & Arcane Shot (pet dismissed) within 60 seconds.

No idea what I was doing wrong the first time. My best advice is using ranged single-target attacks and make sure you have nameplates turned on.

Two tips: Turn off mouseover cast so you don't accidentally kill the boss.
