This confused me for a long while because the center of the marked quest objective spot on the minimap was a random forge, and I couldn't find any stupid mission map like the one from BFA.

There is a small-ish map lying flat on a pallet next to the forge that has a very subtle sparkle to it if you look carefully. /way 76.5, 34.2

Sendrax is dead, and I can't find the scouting map ?

Wondering if this quest still exists. My level 68 main didn't remember having even been offered this quest on his Dragonflight startup questing. Double checked and it shows he didn't do it.

So ran an alt thru the Dragon Isles startup stuff, found Sendrax but he does NOT offer the alt this quest either. Meanwhile the main is able to work on his Dragonriding talent tree anyway.

I see the map but I cannot click on it . Anyone know? Do I have to do more of the campaign?

I took one of my alts to take the boat and start the normal quest chain after my main had completed the whole story and unlocked adventure mode. After the first few campaign quests starting from the dock, a normal quest (just the exclamation mark without the shield) becomes available from Sendrax called “Adventuring in the Dragon Isles”. This opens up the scouting map (76.5, 34.2 in The Waking Shores). After choosing a zone to quest in all of the world quests remain available and access to all of the dungeons also remain available. This can also be accomplished by just taking the portal to Valdrakken on the alt; you still have to fly to the landing dock, do the first few quests up to Sendrax and pick up “Adventuring in the Dragon Isles” to open up the scouting map. None of this is available until one character on your account had finished all of the leveling story quests. At the end of the chain you turn in a quest at the top of the tower that opens up a giant dialog window stating that you have unlocked "Adventure Mode", only when that is done can the scouting map and the portals be unlocked.

I had to do all the initial quests offered at Wingrest before this popped.

Important note: If you select a zone you will get an initial flight
point for that zone unless you already have it, (which will usually
be the case for Waking Shores). This is an easy way to get the
Valdrakken, Dragon Scale Base Camp, and Forkriver Crossing
Flight Points. So imo take them all.

I created an account to post this information because it pissed me off so much. I also was having trouble with this quest popping up. I did all of the introduction quests at Wingrest and nothing happened. What I needed to do for this quest to be offered was to complete the short questline back in Orgrimmar that takes you to the Dragon Isles. This is the beginning quest for it The Dragon Isles Await I assume that the alliance one begins in Stormwind. Once you finish that and do all the junk in Wingrest then Sendrax will give you this quest and you can interact with the mission board.

So I started questing on an alt BEFORE finishing the MSQ on my main. Finished it on my main and now I cant get to Sendrax because they are dead since I had already been working on questing on this alt. I can't get to the scouting map. Is there any way at all to fix this?

This quest must be for alts only I'm guessing.

My main character was never offered this quest, but all of my alts (17 of them) can get this quest and see/interact with the map next to Kerazal. I can see the map on my main but I cannot interact with it. So this must mean that this quest is not available for main characters but for your subsequent alt characters.

There is another catch to this that some might not be aware of; if you have an alt already in the Waking Shores zone, DO NOT do any quests involving Sendrax until your main opens up "Adventure Mode". If your alts go past the initial "Where is Wrathion" quest, before "Adventure Mode" is unlocked, Sendrax will not offer the "Adventuring in the Dragon Isles" quest. There is apparently no way to get it at this point, and the scouting map will not be accessible. You can still use the portal in SW to get to Valdrakken, and Dragonriding seems to be available, but it seems the only way to get to other zones is to run or glide.

Tried to do the campaign quest on my nth alt. I could do all pre-quests including taking the zeppelin to the new shores, I can click the map, but I cannot select any of the zones to quest in (no clickable areas within the map). I could use the map on others alts without an issue, but this hunter has done much of the later campaign stuff, just not the beginning of Dragonflight's campaign. I will wait for server reset to see if it changes anything, but right now I cannot continue because I can't finish the quest.

Oh, I know what you can do! The Dragonscale Expedition has posted a very fine looking map of the Dragon Isles nearby. Their drawings are quite accurate and detailed, if I do say so myself. Sorry, you're not here for an art review. You should go check it out to see what areas of the Dragon Isles could use your help!
