Every fourth melee attack the boss will cast Terrible Thrash on the target closest to the current tank, a hit which deals physical damage equal to 300% of a standard melee attack.

Every player will have to be hit, and it's recommended to use a personal cooldown when that happens. The fight itself isn't that hard, but you should prioritize people without a good defensive cooldown, as the boss enrages at 50%: Fetid Frenzy

Do not use immunities, as that will not count as getting hit by Terrible Thrash.(##RESPBREAK##)396##DELIM##Nightswifty##DELIM##

The boss has a very short berserk timer so this is best done with a small number of people.

Note that using Ice Block, Divine Shield or Aspect of the Turtle to soak the damage does not count as getting hit and thus will not count!

We attempted this achivement today.
As far as we can see either hunter imunities or pala bubble doesn't count the hit, becasue details registered the hit as a o damage hit, but we weren't awarded the achivement upon killing the boss.

Just don't do what we did and forget to have the off tank taunt so the main tank gets hit.

Touch of Karma for windwalkers works. But I'm not sure if it would if my HP was higher than the hit. I had 160k hp, it hit me for 170k, so I had 10k dmg from terrible thrash

Anyone dead at the end of the encounter will not get the achievement. Our group learned that the hard way.

EDIT: This is apparently a bug! If you do not get the achievement but others in your group did, put in a ticket and a Game Master should be able to help.

Our group had some issues in the first couple of weeks with this one regarding everyone getting hit / killing the boss THEN discovering that someone immuned etc. DO NOT USE any paladin bubble / ice block / turtle etc.

Our final procedure was as follows:

1) Have everyone talent for survival and use survival buffs (extra stam etc)
2) Tank boss as normal at a wall and both tanks do the taunt swap thing and get hit as normal THEN:
3) OT goes way from the raid and focuses on tracking DAMAGE TAKEN BY SPELL (Details! addon).
4) Cloth players go first. Healers have a rotation (hand of sacrifice / Iron bark etc) for each cloth player. They have to jump on the MT fast (in turn) and then move away from raid (conveyor belt style). NB: you have about 5 seconds MAX so need to focus on moving and rotating in and out or boss WILL turn and hit any nearest player (which healers may not be ready for). SAVE BRES FOR THIS GROUP (2 max). BOSS will 1 shot a clothie if that player doesn't know his class.
5) DPS waiting for their turn (not in the next few rotations) kill ALL the eggs.
6) Healer group goes 2nd.
7) Then the more hardy players rotate in as per assigned group in turn (most plate clases have tank CD's they can use.
8) Boss will likely be around 50% by now (try to have all this done before 50%!)
9) When all done the tracker player CONFIRMS damage by spell for the whole raid group.
10) Now BRES the dead / choose who will NOT get the achievement if anyone else is dead (or just reset it if more then 3 players die).
11) Hero and kill boss as normal.

NB: Group Average ilvl = 376.3.

You MUST be alive for this to count for you!
Just did it with my group and the people that were dead didn't get it.

It def hits cloth wearers VERY hard. Sac/Ironbark/whatever them to help them live!

We did this after 8.1 and had 1 player dead who also got the achievement.

We did this with a 22 person group, so time was of the upmost importance. What we did was have the entire raid stack on the tank and whenever someone got hit, we have them move to the back of the boss.

Thrash is a 1 second cast, and he targets the person he's about to hit, so you do have a literal second when you pop a defensive. We did lose about 5 people, but were able to brez the important ones. Kept the boss above 55% and let him eat the adds as much as he wanted. Most of us are mythic gears, so we didn't have a major DPS issue.

He did end up enraging at the end, but if you are't insane and doing this with your entire raid team, you won't have an issue.

Can confirm that people who died DO still get the achievement.

Confirming this is solo-able. Just completed it in early DF with a lvl 70 arcane mage.

Just solo'd this as 484ilvl BM hunter. My pet tanked the boss and as soon as I got "thrashed" I killed boss and got it. was over in about 10 seconds :)
