BTW, back on topic, what I miss in this interview is the massive pink elefant that is in the room. You ask 10 people what is wrong with cata and you get 6 answers including answers that state it is not wrong at all.I explicitly not want to QQ, so don't read it like that. I think Blizzard screwed up in the months after release, but saw their error and now is trying to fix it.So my main bain with Cata is not the release, but what happened afterwards. Sure I would like to have some more end-game content, but redoing the whole world is a lot of work. And now Dave explained that they underestimated this a bit, that makes sense. Some zones like the Nigh Elves story untill Southern Barrens or both Stranglethorn Vales were actually very well done, so I can easily forgive them those few filler zones. Also the Worgen en Goblin zones took a lot of effort. I like the storries around the Undead and Argent Crusade as well. The main issue is afterwards. I cannot prove it, even though at least one blue admitted once to have worked a lot on Diablo, but I suspect that resources were too tin in the months afterwards. Also lots of small things showed massive lack of attention. Just to mention a few: Bugs that were not fixed or even admitted and then after months without again mentioning in the patch notes stealthly fixed. End-game bows sounding like guns and not getting fixed for months. And a bug like quest tracking not working for a brief moment showed serious internal QA issues as any structural and basic regression testing procedures should have caught that. And the miscommunication of the PvP season armour switch showed that team was not the old team that didt it *and* were not long time PvP'ers themselves! Auch!Anyway, I don't want to QQ, because I did still have fun playing Cata, and my point is only to indicate quality dropped. But if you disagree on quality being lesser the few months after release, the quantity is not a matter of debate. Firelands was delayed and not shipped with the Troll revamp as planned. And quicly afterwards Blizzard took action, delaying Diablo, Titan and canceling the original 2nd patch and moving the end-game forward. We lost a whole raid! Also there were thoughs about a filler patch like 3.3.5 was, but those are now definitly cancelled.Note again this is explicitly not QQ, as I think Blizzard made the right choice. The damage was done, so focussing on getting MoP faster out was the right thing even if it meant bleeding even more subscribers. And they will bleed more as it seems it will take a few more months before we see MoP.The nerfing of DS makes sense, even though I don't like it. There is no more content, so it is scrambling and going all in for MoP. To me it looks as they saw they were spreading too tin, decided to cancel a patch and go all in to fix it for MoP.I hope Blizzard's bet pays off!
