Why have demons been downgraded! Grimoire of Supremacy no longer gives me the feel of being a stronger warlock. To fix that they should have class books, something learned and chosen to use like mage and shaman spells, not glyphs! We shouldn't be stuck with any of our old demon forms if we choose, something we cannot do with glyphs! X/

I think it's silly some classes can buy glyphs for like stag and such from vendors currently but locks need them made to replace the look of demons previously given by a talent.

I loved my Wrathguard with custom weapon before pre patch. now it's one or the other... please blizz! make it able for us to do both again!

I too am upset that I must pay for what I had already earned and leveled having. The glyphs aren't reversible, warlocks have no private vendors and are therefore at the beck and call of high market prices, and the minor glyphs one already had and didn't change must be paid for again (like soulwell). Now to top it off, THIS one isn't even live yet :/ very disappointed for my lore fanatic side and doesn't entice me to play my demo spec at all.

So does this glyph actually exist? It says that you get it from Mr. Glyph but i guess thats an NPC from the beta...anyone know if this is in fact obtainable? None are on my auctionhouse, but i figured that was because it's an awesome glyph. Anyone know?

I think it's ridiculous to glyph these new demon appearances especially since they're cosmetic.
If locks want to use the new models, they should be able to, period.

The pattern to make this is now sold by Warmage Kath'leen at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore for 2500 Nethershards. It says it is exclusive with Glyph of Felguard, however, I overwrote my Felguard glyph with the Wrathguard one, and my Wrathguard is dual-wielding Xal'atoh from my bags. Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's how the Wrathguard functions, but it's pretty cool.

2023/07/11 patch 10.1.5 update: This is now converted to Grimoire of the Wrathguard, unlocking extra colors for your demon, as such it doesn't make your summon equip a two-handed weapon from your inventory anymore, requiring the standalone Glyph of the Felguard for that

I can confirm that this glyph includes the felguard weapon customization as well as the wrathguard appearance in only one glyph.

It is a little buggy right now as patch 7.2 released yesterday. It may not recognize any weapon you have at first, and then appears that it may not recognize the weapon on your bag, or may sort between weapons on all your bags (not just the backpack), but it will eventually equip a weapon that is not the default skull axe.

When I first summoned him it appeared with 2 hellreavers, which turned into the default felguard skull axe as I started to walk, I bought a white 2 hander sword from an NPC and he would not equip it, then I bought a green 2 hand axe from AH and he equipped the previous swords, and is now using one of each (even after I have moved the white swords to any other bag that is not the backpack).
As previously you have to resummon the demon for it to equip the weapon correctly.

Now on 7.2 this is has been re-added, with Glyph of the Fel guard baked into it. So you can have a wrathguard and 2 different random weapons in his hands. (posted on 3/29/17)

So Wrathguard is supposedly bugged according to the forums. His Mortal Cleave (which replaces the Felguard's legion strike) ability apparently does not work properly, result in a DPS loss compared to the Felguard.

As off today with the bfa pre patch 8.0 the wrathguard is back using one weapon i hope it just a bug and it get fixed soon

If you want your Wrathguard to equip a custom weapon, here's what you got to do. First, acquire a 2 handed weapon. I recommend using marks of honor because some of the old pvp weapons are actually pretty incredible. You can also grab one off the auction house. After you acquire a 2 handed weapon you need to place that weapon in your BACKPACK and keep it there forever. Notice I said BACKPACK, meaning the default backpack that we all have. If you put the 2 handed weapon in one of your other bags this whole process will fail. Finally, dismiss your Wrathguard and then resummon him. I have not tested other 2 handed weapons, only 2 handed axes. Maybe someone else can comment on maces and polearms. Also, I bought two axes from the pvp vendor and my Wrathguard would not dual-wield. So I sold one of the axes back for a refund. So far I've only been able to get the Wrathguard to equip one 2 handed weapon at a time.

Just some up-to-date info for those looking for it:

Technique: Glyph of Wrathguard can be bought by those with Legion Inscription from Warmage Kath'leen in the Broken Shore zone for 2500 Nethershards.
Glyph of Wrathguard, when used by Warlocks in the Demonology spec, will change their Summon Felguard spell into Summon Wrathguard.
The Wrathguard is purely a cosmetic change. It has the same abilities and deals the same damage as the regular Felguard. The model and voice lines are the things that change.
Despite the tooltip stating it to be "Exclusive with: Glyph of Felguard", the Glyph of Wrathguard actually has the functionality of both glyphs. It doesn't specifically say this in the tooltip of the Summon Wrathguard icon, but I can confirm it to be true. Screenshot for proof: https://imgur.com/a/JgaPy3j
In BfA the Wrathguard's dual-wield functionality was removed and the Wrathguard will now only carry one weapon. This was an intended change in order to normalize damage and simplify tuning of the Wrathguard compared to the Felguard.
For a short time after 8.1.5 launched, the Wrathguard actually had two weapons equipped when summoned, although the second weapon appeared to be completely cosmetic. It would disappear in combat and then reappear when combat ended. This was actually a great change and a nice compromise for those who really wanted the second weapon back, but for some reason was hotfixed out around two weeks later.

They brought back the 2nd weapon for the Wrathguard now!
The 2nd weapon is entirely cosmetic though, the pet only does 1 instance of damage per weapon swing.

Patch 8.1.5 has brought back Wrathguard's Duel-Wielding! He will randomly pick out of your bags and can even duel-wield the same weapon or two different ones out of your bag.

As of 8.2, this glyph states to be exclusive with "Glyph of Felguard".

A comment here states that if you use "Glyph of Felguard" and then replace it with "Wrathguard", your demon will have the new appearance, but keep the "Felguard" effect as well. It's presumed to be a bug, but I doubt anyone is complaining. Customization!

I can't confirm that, but I did switch my glyphs long ago and my "Wrathguard" changes his weapon with one *anywhere* in my inventory, so it's likely true. Regardless, only 2H Maces, Axes, Swords, and Polearms work. Staves do not. As long as you can get an eligible weapon in your inventory, it should work.

Any quality of weapon (besides Legendaries, reportedly) will work. This includes Heirlooms. However, any added enchantments/xmog will not show. You will only see the weapon in its native state equipped.

The glitch where you use the weapon glyph, then wraithguard glyph to have a wraithguard that uses a random weapon no longer works by the way. It’s an older glitch from last year so I’m not surprised they fixed it. So hopefully this post will save you guys some cash if you were considering attempting this.

As of this point, gives the random weapon effect and effects the weapon of the Grimoire: Felguard if you have a 2nd compatible 2h.

The comment below saying the Wrathguard will not use a 2 handed weapon from your inventory is now incorrect. I used Glyph of the Felguard first then Glyph of Wrathguard. He was holding the normal axe at first but after being resummoned was holding the sword from my bags every time.

Glyph of Felguard and Glyph of Wrathguard stack now, as other commenter said, as long as Glyph of Felguard is used first.

EVER BETTER THOUGH, Wrathguard will start dual wielding after using Guillotine (the talent ability) and will continue to use the two-hander from your bag in both hands.

Profession Tools are apparently classed as weapons since my Wrathguard will randomly whip out my 2ndary Enchanting rods in my bags.

It's rather amusing to see him stomping on a mob with a pair of scissors (my other profession is Tailor) as well.

I've had glyph of the wrathguard on my warlock since sometime in mid-Legion and as of me logging on today for 10.1.5, it has been removed from my spellbook and now it's just a normal Felguard? With a different name?

Now I have to repurchase it off the AH for 40k? Are you kidding me?

It would be nice if switching to the Wrathguard skin at the barber shop used the Wrathguard voice lines. He was the only demon that actually wants to be summoned to kill stuff, which made his voice lines unique.

I don't know if Blizz will fix it or not but you can buy the grimoire (was around 3K golds on my server : AD EU) and put the glyph that all ow to use any random 2H weapons from bags. I did both and everything work as before concerning the Wrathguard pet.

It used to be that you couldn't rename these guys, but as of patch 10.1.7 you absolutely CAN rename them.
